Fundraising Campaign Description

End Date: Feb 28, 2012 10:00 PM

Thanks for taking the time to visit this fundraising page!

Scott is a 33-year-old former semi-professional footballer who represented numerous North East clubs and at his height was representing Blyth Spartans in the Conference North.
In April 2009 Scott began to feel prolonged calf tightness and as these symptoms worsened he had to retire.

What followed were numerous hospital and doctors’ appointments, culminating in a visit to a Motor Neurone Disease (MND) specialist in May 2011 who confirmed the diagnosis

This is why Scott’s family and friends have set up the Scott Bell fund; to raise both money for research and awareness of the condition.

The fund will donate 50 per cent of all profits to the Motor Neurone Disease Association and the remainder will be used to support Scott and his wife Louise in the future.

As a friend and colleague we got our thinking caps on to try and raise some cash for the Scott Bell fund.

As we both have chests (and slightly greying hair), John Knott and myself decided to take advantage of our works annual conference and get our chests waxed for the viewing pleasure of all 300 delegates!

The 'event' will take place on Tuesday 17th January at 5pm, all donations will be gratefully received so please dig deep and support this fantastic cause!
