Po-Han Chen
AtlantaPassionate About:
My name Po-Han (Abraham) Chen and I am a volunteer of Emory's Chapter of Global Medical Brigades. Each year the brigade goes to Honduras with 30 Emory volunteers and sets up a clinic in the rural areas of the country. Our patients usually come from a very low socioeconomic background and travel miles to our clinic in order to be seen by healthcare professionals at no cost to them. The medical brigade's goal is to promote sustainability for these communities, which means that once we leave, the communities are hopefully capable of thriving and working on their own. This is an extremely rewarding experience, not just for the patients, but also for volunteers like myself, and unfortunately it comes at a cost. This is where you come in. Your donation of any size could help me reach my goal of paying for the flight and one week cost for accommodations in Honduras. This will be my first trip, and I am very excited to be able to play a part in helping the well-being and health of the people we will be serving. The donation you make today will last me a lifetime of memories and will help others past the one-week timespan in which we set up the clinic. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Po-Han Abraham Chen
