Passionate About:

I'm passionate about Dentistry. I hope to use this once in a lifetime experience to gain knowledge about the field of dentistry and give back to those in need. I'm very passionate about helping others as I have volunteered over 80 hours of my time so far throughout my undergraduate degree. Your donation is GREATLY appreciated! The money will be used for medical supplies such as gauze, gloves, medications, toothbrushes, floss, etc. I can't thank you enough for your donation and taking the time to learn a bit about me! I plan to document the entire trip so please follow me on Facebook at Nicole Quint to see pictures and a day-by-day break down of what the volunteers and I did for the day! The trip is August 15-21st!

About Us

Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis is a chapter of Global Medical Brigades, an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems. We work in remote, rural, and under resourced communities in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua and Ghana who would otherwise have limited to no access to health care. Each community receives a brigade every 3 to 4 months where hundreds of patients are provided access to healthcare and volunteers deliver public health workshops. Electronic patient records are collected for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends. nnIn conjunction with our Medical Program, Global Brigades also supports communities with economic development, sanitation and clean water projects, and uniquely implements these programs in a holistic model to meet a community’s health and economic goals. Our model systematically builds community ownership and collaboratively executes programs with the end goal of sustainably evolving to a relationship of impact monitoring.
