Passionate About:

Hi, there! My name is Jessica and I am a senior biomedical science - medical lab science major at UNH. I feel incredibly thankful for the opportunity to explore medicine with the Brigaders of NH for the Honduras 2013 trip! I am currently pursuing my ultimate goal of practicing internal medicine as a Physician Assistant. When I can, I run, climb, snowboard, hike, and volunteer at the Therapeutic Riding Program at UNH. I have always enjoyed helping others and volunteering has proven to be my most cherished experience. Thank-you for your support in my endeavers, it is absolutely invaluable!

About Us

Medical Brigades of New Hampshire is a chapter of Global Brigades, the world's largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. The New Hampshire chapter systematically works with more than 300 other university groups around the world to deliver and implement one of nine skill-based programs that benefit more than 130,000 Honduran and Panamanian community members annually. Global Medical Brigades develops sustainable health initiatives and provides relief where there is limited access to healthcare. Each community receives a brigade every 3 to 4 months where hundreds of patients are treated and volunteers deliver public health workshops. Electronic patient records are collected for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends.
