Passionate About:

The passion that drives me each day is my love for helping others, science, and medicine. I am a senior majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in Combined Sciences. My first ever medical outreach trip to Alajuelita, Costa Rica in 2017 is the main source of inspiration for one of my most endearing achievements, which was bringing a VAW medical outreach chapter to Stephen F. Austin State University. The past year that I have been a Medical Team Leader with Volunteers Around the World has been the most rewarding experience. Since going on my first medical outreach trip with VAW to Vietnam, I am preparing to go on my next one to the Dominican Republic this summer. After I graduate at the end of the year, I plan to get my Masters in Biomedicine before going to medical school!

VAW Global Health Alliances (VAW Global) is a global health and development organization committed to cultivating sustainable and equitable partnerships with local communities and professionals through support and capacity-building for essential and accessible health services. Our focus is to work hand-in-hand with local initiatives and leaders to provide communities with improved access to medical, dental, and veterinary treatment, medication, nutritional security, clean water, and health education.

VAW Global Health Alliances develops community health systems while providing interns the opportunity to work alongside experienced local healthcare professionals. VAW Global Outreach trips provide interns with an opportunity to work first hand with experienced local professionals in the fields of medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and sustainable development.
