Hello my name is Olivia Lopez, I am currently a senior and the Vice President of the VAW at UTSA. I am passionate about people and helping those in need. I am a heartfelt individual who would like to pursue a career in the dental field. My passion has always been to travel to third world countries to provide dental work; especially after I obtain my doctorate degree in dental. I have always felt strongly about helping others obtain a better health and a positive outlook on life. I hope through dental outreach Guatemala I will be able to continue to help people and expand my cultural surroundings as well as getting closer to my dream of becoming a dentist.

VAW Global Health Alliances (VAW Global) is a global health and development organization committed to cultivating sustainable and equitable partnerships with local communities and professionals through support and capacity-building for essential and accessible health services. Our focus is to work hand-in-hand with local initiatives and leaders to provide communities with improved access to medical, dental, and veterinary treatment, medication, nutritional security, clean water, and health education.

VAW Global Health Alliances develops community health systems while providing interns the opportunity to work alongside experienced local healthcare professionals. VAW Global Outreach trips provide interns with an opportunity to work first hand with experienced local professionals in the fields of medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and sustainable development.
