The Stony Brook University chapter of Volunteers Around the World (VAW) consists of students that are enthusiastic and committed about addressing the health disparities that currently exists in developing countries. Through close collaboration with the Non-Governmental Organization, Volunteers Around the World, our club at Stony Brook strives towards providing rural communities in developing countries access towards dental treatment and oral hygiene, nutritional and health education. We will provide care to impoverished communities in Dominican Republic, where patients can receive free dental care for any ailment. Any donations, regardless of the amount, will be greatly appreciated!
