UCLA Medical Outreach Summer 2015 to the Dominican Republic

Natalie's Message

Hey everyone!
I will be traveling to Guatemala this upcoming September on a mission trip with Volunteers Around the World. The two week program involves running a free mobile medical clinic to provide basic healthcare services and teaching public health classes alongside medical professionals. This is a great opportunity for me to shadow and assist the doctors but comes at an expense of $2500 to cover travel and living expenses. This trip is very dear to me, and i’ll appreciate all the support i can get! Thank you! :)

Volunteer Activity Description

Join UCLA's Medical Outreach Chapter of VAW as we travel on a Medical Outreach trip to the Dominican Republic this upcoming September! Volunteers will work in mobile medical clinics, where they will have the opportunity to intake patients, conduct public health surveys, take vitals, shadow local physicians, work in the pharmacy, teach education classes, and much more!
