Hi my name is Morgan Hoare and I am a team leader for VAW at Sacramento State University. I am currently a Biology major with a concentration in biomedical sciences with a minor in chemistry. My career goal is to eventually become a physician or physician’s assistant.

Going on a trip with VAW to Peru last summer changed my life forever. I pride myself in helping those around me and in Peru I was not only able to immerse myself in a beautiful culture but I was able to experience what it would be like to become a health professional. Seeing the smiles it brought to people’s faces will always leave an imprint on my heart.

VAW Global Health Alliances (VAW Global) is a global health and development organization committed to cultivating sustainable and equitable partnerships with local communities and professionals through support and capacity-building for essential and accessible health services. Our focus is to work hand-in-hand with local initiatives and leaders to provide communities with improved access to medical, dental, and veterinary treatment, medication, nutritional security, clean water, and health education.

VAW Global Health Alliances develops community health systems while providing interns the opportunity to work alongside experienced local healthcare professionals. VAW Global Outreach trips provide interns with an opportunity to work first hand with experienced local professionals in the fields of medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and sustainable development.
