Dance has been with me all of my life in many different forms. It has warped the way I see the world and the people around me. I empathize and connect with people more because as an artist I see from many perspectives not just my own. Dance allows me to venture beyond the walls of my imagination. Imagine what that can do for a child who already has a vast imagination. However, for children who come from underdeveloped or underprivileged neighborhoods that imagination is forced to shrink immensely. I believe that going out into these places and sharing my love of movement with them will shine a light in them and thus plant the seed of inspiration. Though it doesn't just stop there, to achieve this I wouldn't be able to do it alone. I meet people everyday who inspire change in not only children but adults too. This is what I am passionate about connecting with all types of people who can spark passion in others and push people to strive for a life that is much bigger than themselves. With your help, you give myself and fellow dance diplomats this opportunity to plant this seed in the children of Rio De Janeiro.
