There are many things in my life that have shaped me up to this point, but the one thing that has impacted me the most is my ability to help others through translation and interpretation. I am most passionate about helping the Spanish speaking communities and helping them cross the language barrier to get them the help and attention they need. As a pre-dental student, I hope to one day be able to give my Spanish speaking patients the same exceptional experience that I would give any other patient. I want to break down the language barrier and facilitate access to treatment as well as improve the patient and doctor relationship. I believe it is necessary for all people to be exposed to different cultures in order to gain the knowledge needed to treat all types of patients. This experience will allow me to increase my knowledge about other cultures as well as teach me to facilitate treatment to other needed communities.
