Last summer, I was lucky enough to participate in a medical mission to Honduras through Global Brigades. I’m hoping to go back as a Global Health Intern with the same nonprofit. This is a three week internship where I’ll be able to visit and conduct research on the communities that the program tends to, provide preventative care services and even shadow medical experts from the area. Because it is a nonprofit, I am fundraising the program contribution of $1980, which helps cover supplies, transportation, medicines, and personal food/lodging.
