"Great news! I have been selected to participate in the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture (NALAC) 12th Annual Leadership Institute from July 16 to July 21, 2012 in San Antonio, TX. For those who do not know, the NALAC Leadership Institute brings together emerging and established artists and arts administrators of community-based arts and cultural organizations from across the nation for intensive training in nonprofit arts management and leadership development.

So this is where you come in…the cost of this program is $965. I have already received support from our regional arts agency (WESTAF) in the amount of $192.31. The remaining cost is $772.69. I am calling on Café Cultura friends and supporters for assistance.

Why? I feel my participation in this premier professional development program will definitely further Café Cultura’s mission and organizational goals. I will return with the knowledge and skills we need in order to do even more for our communities. I take this responsibility seriously and hope to share what I learn with others over the next few months.
