Many of you know how involved I was with RockeTHON last year and it was a privilege to be able to directly serve my community and give back to those in need. However, my passion for serving continues to grow and this year I am hoping to serve an even greater population, internationally. In January, I will be going on a mission trip to Honduras with a student organization by the name of Global Medical Bridgades. Here we will be providing medical supplies, meeting the community and doing home visits, providing hygiene care packages, assisting in doctor's visits, manual labor projects to promote personal health, and educating about health and hygiene. This is a donations based Organization, and while I am doing my best to fundraise by giving up weekends to work at Mudhens games and Cedar Point, this will not cover my trip (which will cost almost $2,000) and I am a poor college student. Serving others and experiencing different cultures is my passion, and I would love to be able to experience something as humbling as this firsthand.
