'M GOING TO GHANAAAAAA!!!! But it's not all for fun and games. In fact, myself and 20 dental students are going to the deepest depths of west africa to reach those who have little or no access to proper sanitation or healthcare. In conjunction with the medical brigade team we will be providing a vast array of services including dental treatment.

What many people don't know is that dental and oral diseases can be extremely debilitating and if not treated appropriately, even life threatening. This especially applies to areas like Ghana where 1 in 4 people do not have access to healthcare within a 20 mile radius.

The aim of our trip is to not only provide urgent dental care to those who will never have seen a dentist before, but also to educate the communities on disease prevention. We all know that it only takes picking up a toothbrush twice a day to prevent decay and gum disease and we want all the adults and children we meet during our time in Ghana to know and do the same.

...And this is where you come in! I am asking all of you kind lovely people to donate some pennies or pounds to this worthy cause. The money will go towards paying for equipment and supplies that we need whilst we're out there. For all of those who know me well, I'M A MASSIVE PRINCESS and this is going to be huge challenge for me but I'm not going to let the inevitable change in skin colour to a sort of concrete grey and burnt frizzy hair not to mention the horrendous reactions I'm going to have to mosquito bites deter me as I really do believe in the cause.
