I am a current senior studying bioengineering at the University of Toledo. I have recently been accepted to medical school and will be starting after my graduation in May 2018. Through Global Brigades, I hope to learn more about global medicine and how to best care for medically underserved populations. In my future career, I wish to take the experiences from this mission trip and apply them to underserved communities here in the US as well as those abroad. Everyone deserves a right to a healthy life no matter where they were born. Through Global Brigades, we can provide preventative medical education as well as access to healthcare.
