• About Nourish International
Nourish International’s mission is to engage students and empower communities to make a lasting impact on extreme poverty.

Since incorporating as a 501(c)3 non-profit in 2006, Nourish International has grown into a national movement with 60 Chapters on college campuses in the US and Canada and a National Office in Chapel Hill, NC. Since 2003, we’ve invested $460,000 and trained over 600 Project interns to implement 113 projects all over the world. As a movement, we have placed 3rd in the Facebook Giving Challenge, received the North Carolina Peace Prize for excellence in cross-cultural solutions and sustainable development, and was featured at TEDxRaleigh, Ashoka U Exchange, and the United Nations.

Our approach is unique in that it addresses the massive needs of communities with sustainable, scalable solutions, while catalyzing tomorrow’s leaders to take action now. Nourish students partner with communities who lack the necessary funds and resources for development projects, but who have the entrepreneurial vision to impact poverty. We invest time and funds to support leaders within communities and empower local solutions.

University of Georgia Nourish International

Our vision is to empower an inspiring environment of young adults who care and are socially responsible leaders of the present and future. Founded by a few students at the University of Georgia, Nourish International UGA Chapter’s mission is to make a lasting impact on extreme poverty by engaging students and empowering our community. We believe that many communities constrained by the cycle of poverty are highly entrepreneurial, dedicated, and determined, but lack the resources and opportunities to substantially improve their conditions. We believe in the immense intellectual capital of students’ ability to make significant contributions to challenges facing poverty stricken populations. We believe, together, students and communities can change this cycle.
