I am a sophomore honors student at Central Michigan University, pursuing a degree in kinesiology with aspirations of becoming a physician assistant. At an early age I was captivated by the health field and upon my arrival at the university I have searched for ways to further my experience and passion with medicine. Traveling to Honduras by participating in a medical brigade will allow me to gain direct experience, as I will be providing services to individuals and also shadowing various licensed practitioners. Of more importance to expansion of knowledge and experience, my peers and I will be helping those of need in underprivileged communities. I find it a personal duty as a future health care provider to be exposed to various cultures, people and particular circumstances. I look forward to my experience with global brigades!
