Going into the medical field as always been a passion of mine. Starting from a young age, I participated in various medical related programs such as the Health Medicine Specialized class and Sports Medicine in high school where I became CPR certified in the 9th grade for the first time. I also got the privilege of joining the Youth Leadership Forum for medical oriented students at UCLA where I even got to watch a live knee replacement surgery!! I went on the Global Brigade to Honduras last year and words cannot even begin to express how amazing my experience there was. Now, I get to repeat another Brigade, but this time in Nicaragua.
