Medical Brigades at Fairfield County

Global Brigades USA is the world\'s largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Our mission is to empower volunteers to facilitate sustainable solutions in under resourced communities while fostering local cultures. Since 2005, more than 5,000 volunteers from 110 university groups have traveled to implement our nine skill-based programs to benefit more than 100,000 Honduran and Panamanian community members. Students participating in Medical/Dental Brigades empower rural communities in Honduras, Panama and Ghana by providing comprehensive health services to those with limited access to healthcare. We mobilize licensed medical professionals, community health workers, and thousands of student volunteers annually to facilitate much-needed Medical and Dental Brigades.

Ferris State University is a chapter of Global Medical Brigades, an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems. Medical Brigades at George Washington University

George Washington University is a chapter of Global Brigade aiming to improve access to healthcare along with implementing sustainable health systems in remote, rural, and under-resourced communities. The students are traveling virtually to various countries to aid in primary health care along with other health screenings. For each clinic, the students along with other health professionals will be immersed from triage to discharge while following the local physician. For this upcoming brigade, we will be visiting Honduras, Ghana, and Greece with each country having a different healthcare system. Each clinic will enable the students to obtain important skills to be utilized in and out of the healthcare setting.
