Discussion of Opportunities #3

Discussion #3: Educational Excellence 12 noon Join us for a box lunch and discussion of opportunities that will direct the strengths of our neighborhoods toward Dr. King’s vision of the “Beloved Community”. DON’T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE YOUR VOICE HEARD These sessions provide a chance to examine information gathered during the Community Needs Assessment completed by the Family & Children First Council of Warren County, and to get creative about ways to address some of the needs identified.

DONATION DRIVE - NEW STUFFED ANIMALS

CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER OF WARREN COUNTY This center serves over 1,000 abused children each year, and is in need of new stuffed animals, juice boxes, individually wrapped snacks, art supplies, and paper goods. Donations and volunteers are needed to sort and pack.

DONATIONS - PAINT AND SUPPLIES

AMERICAN LEGION We are in need of cleaning supplies, paint, tools, etc. Volunteers will be cleaning, painting and repairing the American Legion.

DONATION - WATER FOR VOLUNTEERS

Donations of bottle water is needed for volunteers

DONATIONS - SNACKS AND FOOD

Food and snack items are needed for volunteers

DONATION DRIVE - PET FOOD FOR HUMANE ASSOCIATION

HUMANE ASSOCIATION OF WARREN COUNTY The animal shelter is in need of Diamond Brand pet food, blankets, towels, flea shampoo, plastic cat toys, paper towels, plain Milk bones, and more. This center uses over 200 coloring books a month, and is in need of coloring books and crayons. Donations and volunteers are needed to sort and pack.

DONATION DRIVE - COUPONS FOR MILITARY FAMILIES

Donate unwanted and expired coupons to send to our military families. They are able to use expired coupons up to 6 months past the expiration date. Volunteers are need to clip coupons and sort.

VOLUNTEERS - SORTERS & PACKERS

Volunteers are needed to sort and pack donated items. There are 2 shifts: 12n - 2pm and 2pm-4pm.
