GBB aims to unite young volunteers in efforts to improve impoverished communities by creating sustainable economic development solutions. Brigade volunteers empower local communities in the Eastern Panamanian community of Piriati Embera, who have limited access to financial services and business guidance, by providing micro-enterprise consulting, financial planning assistance, and strategic investments. The Global Brigades organization as a whole aims to help communities through a holistic approach by providing aid in all areas imaginable- health, water, dental, business, law, and architecture.
