Hi, I'm Lauren! I am a second year, pre-med student studying Biological Sciences at the University of Georgia. During the summer of 2021, I traveled to San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala with VAW Global. While in Guatemala, I volunteered in mobile clinics to help provide medical care to people in need. Having this experience during a global pandemic and getting to witness first hand the need for care in these areas motivated me to become more involved in the organization. This year, I will be leading a team of 50 people to travel to Cusco, Peru to provide access to medical care in the communities there. The total cost of my trip will be $1995 + airfare.
