About Us

Year-end Fundraising Campaign (Dental X-Ray Units) is a chapter of Global Medical Brigades, an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems. We work in remote, rural, and under resourced communities in Honduras, Panama, Belize, Guatemala, Ghana, and Greece who would otherwise have limited to no access to health care. Each community receives a brigade every 3 to 4 months where hundreds of patients are provided access to healthcare and volunteers deliver public health workshops.




Upcoming Initiatives

Year-end Fundraising Campaign (Dental X-Ray Units)

 Portable, digital dental X-ray units will be a high impact addition to Global Brigades' Medical & Dental Brigade clinics, significantly elevating the standard of patient care. Currently, diagnoses are limited to visual and tactile examination, and while Global Brigades' dental professionals are highly experienced in this method, given the rural nature of brigades, introducing portable digital radiography will give dental professionals the ability to accurately visualize the internal structure of teeth and bone right at the point of care. This allows for precise treatment planning, moving beyond emergency extractions to provide more conservative and curative procedures that ultimately improve long-term oral health outcomes for patients. Furthermore, digital images can be easily stored, shared, and referenced, creating a better record of care for follow-up brigades and permanent clinics.
