Training Day with the Jewish Coalition for Literacy

The Jewish Coalition for Literacy (JCL) trains and places volunteer reading tutors in local public schools. JCL is offering Mitzvah Day participants a three-hour tutor training session. Volunteers must attend the training, submit to a background check and agree to give one hour per week for the duration of the school year. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult who has trained as well.
