Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School Global Business Squads

Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School aims to inspire entrepreneurism and financial literacy abroad for youth in under-resourced communities. Our Squad helps create small businesses for partner schools to diversify funding and teach real-world business skills to their students. As volunteers, we mobilize abroad to provide start-up capital, financial literacy workshops, and create areas in community banks focused on child savings programs. Each of our student volunteers has a donation goal to help cover logistical expenses while abroad such as transport, local staff, meals, insurance, accommodations, but most important the year-round follow-up to our project by local staff to ensure the sustainability over time. NYHSHP Global Health

NY High School for Health Professionals is a chapter of Squads Abroad, a non-profit supporting sustainable development goals to improve health and education outcomes in partner communities abroad. Global Health Squads mobilize students to help improve health care access and sanitation infrastructure for children in under-resourced communities abroad. Projects include: mobile health clinics, building handwashing stations at schools and providing healthcare workshops for children. Global Health Squads is a program of Global Brigades, a highly recognized international development organization that uniquely implements a Holistic Model that targets specific UN Sustainable Development goals within partner communities. Our model systematically builds community ownership and collaboratively executes programs with the end goal of sustainably transitioning to a relationship of impact monitoring. Oaks Christian School - Global STEM Squad

Oaks Christian School aims to provide access to clean water in rural under resourced communities through applying STEM skills. Our student volunteers work alongside local engineers to assess, design, and construct infrastructure projects that range from rainwater harvesters that supply drinking water for local schools to large scale community-wide water systems that pipe water directly into households. Each of our student volunteers has a donation goal to help cover logistical expenses while abroad such as transport, local staff, meals, insurance, accommodations, but most important, the year-round follow-up to our project by local staff to ensure the sustainability over time. Open Enrollment - Health TeleSquads

Health TeleSquads are designed for aspiring health students to build medical knowledge through skill-based volunteering, build cultural competency through virtual immersion, and deliver real impact through our local team by participating in live clinics. Earn 20 hours of community service with Completion of Service and Impact Report Certificates awared upon completion. Join this Open Enrollment TeleSquad today! Open Enrollment- STEM TeleSquads

STEM TeleSquads are an international collaboration to improve access to clean potable water in rural Honduran communities. Each TeleSquad is a live STEM case study that provides community access to potable water. Our bilingual on-the-ground teams guide students to survey land, assess water sources, and ultimately design a repair for a community- wide water system using the EPAnet software. TeleSquads enable volunteers to achieve the same learning outcomes as volunteering abroad, with even more community impact and significantly reduced costs, while limiting time away from school and any carbon footprint.

Páez Panamá Squad

Páez Panamá Squad is a chapter of Squads Abroad, a non-profit supporting sustainable development goals to improve health and education outcomes in partner communities abroad. As a Global Education Squad, our group works in under resourced schools abroad to supplement local curriculum, provide one-on-one tutoring, and make physical improvements to the school’s infrastructure that improve learning outcomes. Palisades HOSA (NC) Global Medical Squads

Palisades HOSA (NC) aims to improve health care access and sanitation infrastructure for children in under resourced communities abroad. Our Squad travels abroad to conduct mobile health clinics for children that include primary health care and vision and dental screenings. We also learn about and address some of the systemic issues behind preventable diseases in the community by implementing health workshops and building handwashing stations alongside local students. Palm Spring High School- Health Corp is a chapter of Squads Abroad, a non-profit supporting sustainable development goals to improve health and education outcomes in partner communities abroad. As a Global Health Squad, our school works in under resourced communities abroad to increase access to healthcare services, deliver health workshops alongside local students, and builds water and sanitation infrastructure projects that help keep students healthy and attending school. Our group also examines the social determinants of public health in the community through visitations of local health organizations and guest speakers to be able to compare and contrast our health systems at home.
