University of Toledo Medical/Dental Brigade January 2016 Honduras

Kierra's Message

I am a nursing student and I love to help people! I really believe the reason that I am here is to help as many people I can! I am so excited that I have the opportunity to go to Honduras and help the natives receive medical care. I have been working hard to raise money for this trip and as the date draws closer I am participating in volunteer activities and fundraising to help with a portion of the cost of the trip.

Volunteer Activity Description

Real world medical experience. Real world change. The University of Toledo chapter of Global Medical Brigades will be participating in a week-long brigade in Honduras over winter break. During a Medical Brigade, volunteers have the opportunity to take vitals and patient history in triage, shadow licensed doctors in medical consultations, and assist in a pharmacy under the direction of licensed pharmacists.
