End Date: Jul 15, 2017 8:00 PM

The Kenya Experience is annual summer trip that provides a unique opportunity for United States Citizens and children of Kenyan descent in the Diaspora.

Preparations are underway for the 2017 Kenya Experience. 25 students from New Jersey and New Hampshire will participate in the incredible program. The students would be led by 5 educators and the trip is intended to promote educational diplomacy as part of an effort to build global bridges of understanding between Kenya and the United States.

The Kenya Experience trip is open to both Americans and US-Kenyans 16 years and over. Children are welcome to participate if their parents are part of the trip. It is expected that during the trip participants will engage in projects that improve the living conditions of Kenyan people, as well as build global bridges of understanding. During the trip selected team leaders work alongside Kenyan leaders to lead a group of about 10 participants in various villages in Kenya.

The Kenya Experience 2017 trip is estimated to cost about $5000 per volunteer. The cost covers round-trip airfare, half-board accommodation, and Kenya local transportation.
