Passionate About:

I am most passionate about health and well-being. I've worked in the healthcare industry for over 5 years from volunteering at nursing homes, to working in various departments in the health insurance and hospital environments. I have also been involved in various activities revolving around healthcare policy. I understand and am sensitive to the emotional stress brought on by not being at your healthiest. Your health depicts everything you do in life and your overall well-being. It can affect your contributions to yourself, your family, the world and if you don't have your health and well-being you can almost have nothing at all. It is the element of life I am most passionate about and want to make it my journey in life to help others fulfill their optimal health and well-being and ultimately their passion in life.

About Us

Mayo Medical School is a chapter of Global Medical Brigades, an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems. We work in remote, rural, and under resourced communities in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua and Ghana who would otherwise have limited to no access to health care. Each community receives a brigade every 3 to 4 months where hundreds of patients are provided access to healthcare and volunteers deliver public health workshops. Electronic patient records are collected for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends. nnIn conjunction with our Medical Program, Global Brigades also supports communities with economic development, sanitation and clean water projects, and uniquely implements these programs in a holistic model to meet a community’s health and economic goals. Our model systematically builds community ownership and collaboratively executes programs with the end goal of sustainably evolving to a relationship of impact monitoring.
