Hello Friends & Family, I will be going to Nicaragua!

Recently I’ve really enjoyed learning Spanish and practicing it as often as possible. I love my Spanish teacher Señora Else, and have learned so much in her class. In addition, I have been presented an amazing opportunity to go to Nicaragua this summer with various Spanish students from my school. I have also gotten quite good at speaking it and now with the opportunity that I have, I know that I will grow more so in my understanding and mastery of the language.

This trip will be a ten day immersive experience with the Nicaraguan communities and culture. During the trip, I will be going on a plane down to Manara, the capital of Nicaragua, then ride a bus to Boaco, where we will be working on youth leadership and garden projects in various schools in both urban and rural areas. We also work on various family garden and reforestation projects in rural communities.

This will be a fantastic first cultural experience. I am really looking forward to this adventure. I am currently trying to raise funds to cover my trip expenses, so if you can support me, that would very appreciated!
