Passionate About:

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” ~ Mahatma Ghandi

My passion for mission trips began my freshman year of high school when I traveled to the Bahamas with my church for one week. I still reflect on this week-long journey and believe that it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. That experience has inspired me to combine my passion for medicine and mission work to begin a branch of Global Medical Brigades at the University of Toledo.

Volunteer Activity Message

During their 7 days in Honduras, student leaders will experience a behind-the-scenes look at Global Brigades' Holistic Model. Under the mentorship of Global Brigades staff, both local and foreign, participants will learn first-hand about each of the programs currently implemented in Honduras, how they support one another, and ultimately how they contribute to the sustainable transition plan for each community. In addition to site visits and field work, students will develop their leadership skills through evening workshops that range from discussing the complexity of international health and development work, to practical leadership strategies for managing their chapters year-round. Participants will construct a personal mission and vision that encompasses their leadership goals.
