This spring, a group of Tulane students will be working alongside with a dental brigade coming to Honduras and helping bring healthcare to an area that is nowhere near as fortunate as we are.On the trip, we are going to be distributing medications to those in need, taking patient vitals, performing basic triage, and providing public health education to locals in a rural community. Our goal is to provide basic healthcare as well as to increase awareness of health issues for the future. We hope to use this hands-on experience to make a difference in a community in which the nearest health clinics and hospitals are at least 2.5 hours away. I'm excited to be going on this trip and more than happy to reach out to a place less fortunate that ours. Any donation will help out, doesn't matter how little or how much. Its greatly appreciated!
