Hello Friends and Family!

This summer, I am fortunate enough to be able to travel with a group of volunteers and health professionals
to Ghana to provide exceptional medical, dental, and public health care to underserved communities. This opportunity will be a once in a lifetime experience to help those in need. I am asking for any donations to make this trip possible. Not only will the donations help me get to Panama, but they will also be used for medications and hygiene supplies for the community that we will be helping.

I am currently a student at San Francisco State University working on a Bachelors degree in Biology. I apsire to attain a career in the medical field. This organization that I will be traveling with is a non-profit organization called Global Brigades. Global Brigades gives pre-health students the opportunity to volunteer and provide aid to those in need. Throughout the brigade we get the chance to shadow and assist the health professionals that work with us. We fundraise year around to provide the patients with the necessities that they need. Any donations are greatly appreciated. Please help me reach my goal so that I can have the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life.

Thank you in advance for all your help and support! I greatly appreciate it!

About Us

San Francisco State University is a chapter of Global Medical Brigades, an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems. We work in remote, rural, and under resourced communities in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua and Ghana who would otherwise have limited to no access to health care. Each community receives a brigade every 3 to 4 months where hundreds of patients are provided access to healthcare and volunteers deliver public health workshops. Electronic patient records are collected for future visitations and to monitor overall community health trends. nnIn conjunction with our Medical Program, Global Brigades also supports communities with economic development, sanitation and clean water projects, and uniquely implements these programs in a holistic model to meet a community’s health and economic goals. Our model systematically builds community ownership and collaboratively executes programs with the end goal of sustainably evolving to a relationship of impact monitoring.
