Bailey's Message

Ever since I can remember, I've been drawn to the field of healthcare. The opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life during their most vulnerable moments is something that resonates deeply with me. I also have an insatiable curiosity for learning about different cultures and traditions. I believe that understanding and respecting cultural diversity is not only enriching but essential in providing effective healthcare. This upcoming medical brigade trip presents a unique chance for me to merge these passions. Your support is invaluable in making this journey possible. Every donation, no matter the size, will contribute to covering essential expenses such as travel, accommodation, and medical supplies. Thank you for considering supporting me on this incredible journey!

With Gratitude,

Bailey Hadley

Volunteer Activity Description

Join the North Carolina A&T State University chapter as they lead a Medical Outreach Internship to Guatemala this upcoming Winter! interns will work in mobile medical clinics, where they will have the opportunity to intake patients, conduct public health surveys, take vitals, shadow local physicians, work in the pharmacy, teach education classes, and much more! If you’re interested in joining, contact us for more information!

VAW Global at North Carolina A&T State University will be opening up mobile medical clinics for local communities during their time in Guatemala.

One of the most exciting and important parts of interning with VAW Global is bringing medication to the less fortunate. In 2023, VAW Global treated over 17,500 patients and we aspire to treat over 20,000 in 2024! One of the things that make our mobile clinics unique is that we not only triage and diagnose patients but also provide them with the basic medications needed. Fundraising for medications is a huge part of creating a successful mobile clinic to help the local communities with effective care.
