Architecture Brigades at Penn State University is a discipline of Global Brigades, the world\'s largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. The Penn State chapter systematically works with more than 300 other university groups around the world to deliver and implement one of nine skill-based programs that benefit more than 130,000 Honduran and Panamanian community members annually. Global Architecture Brigades, a program within Global Brigades, designs and constructs socially responsible and sustainable architecture solutions in developing nations. Architecture Brigades has developed a think tank design approach that involves extensive community dialogue and independent research. This collaborative effort results in the creation of efficient, appropriate, and elegant structures to be embraced and utilized by those for whom they were built. The Penn State Architecture Brigade chapter plans on going on a brigade to Nicaragua for Spring Break 2015
