I love traveling and helping people as much as I possible can. I believe that going to a new place, meeting new people, trying new food, and and living through every experience that place has to offer helps me grow as a person. For me, it is exhilarating to completely submerse myself in a different lifestyle and to learn a new culture and its traditions. Taking advantage of our own opportunities and possibilities to help others is very important and a great way to make a change in someone's life - GSE is giving me the opportunity to do exactly that. The soil in Boaco, Nicaragua is unfortunately severely damaged, therefore, it is difficult for locals to continue growing their own crops. With this program, I will have the opportunity to work with my peers to help teach the people of Boaco how to farm their own organic crops under the current difficult circumstance.
