2015 Duke ACE Scholarship

We at Duke ACE help low income high school students to self­ develop by providing practical educational and professional resources as well as effective support network via mentorship and scholarship programs to motivate them to obtain higher education and become a responsible and happy citizen.

PROGRAM COMPONENTS

• FINANCIAL SUPPORT
We grant each scholar $300 to cover application expenses such as SAT test fee, application fee and textbooks
• MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
Our mentors are Duke students who are passionate about encouraging and guiding people to achieve their life goals. Scholars are matched with the mentors at the beginning of the program and will maintain their relationship throughout college.
• PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING
Scholars have access to role models and high-performing students from Duke community.
• PEER SUPPORT
Scholars are placed in structured peer advisory group within the program. This provides them another avenue of support from fellow Scholars who better understand each other’s unique challenges.
