University of Colorado Boulder is a chapter of Global Human Rights Brigades, an international movement of students and attorneys providing legal education and financial resources for vulnerable families to resolve legal challenges. We focus our work with women in remote, rural, and under resourced communities who would otherwise have limited to no access to legal resources. Volunteers facilitate legal clinics with lawyers to provide pro-bono consulting and the financial resources for community members to help resolve cases. nnIn conjunction with our Human Rights Program, Global Brigades also supports communities with healthcare, economic development, clean water and sanitation projects, and uniquely implements these programs in a holistic model to meet a community’s health and economic goals. University of Windsor is a chapter of Global Medical Brigades, an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems. River Valley High School Global Health Squads SQUADS ABROAD

River Valley High School aims to improve health care access and sanitation infrastructure for children in under resourced communities abroad. Our Squad travels abroad to support health screenings for children while leading educational healthcare workshops and small construction projects in the school that improve healthcare. Each of our student volunteers has a donation goal to help cover logistical expenses while abroad such as transport, local staff, meals, insurance, accommodations, but most important, the year-round follow-up to our project by local staff to ensure the sustainability over time. Squads Abroad is a 501c3 non-profit working to improve health, education and economic outcomes in the developing world with our parent organization Global Brigades. DUE DATES, AND HOW TO REGISTER: Individual Donation Goal: $1990 per student includes $1350 in-country donation and $640 airfare donation Due Dates: $250 deposit to secure space due January 31, 2021, $700 airfare donation due March 22, 2022 and final program donation balance due April 21, 2022.

Water Brigades at Northwestern University Global Brigades USA

Northwestern University is a chapter of Global Water Brigades, an international movement of university students working alongside local communities and technicians to implement clean water systems in the developing world. Water systems are designed, planned, and budgeted with partner communities and local leaders are identified by the community to serve as the community’s Water Council, which collects monthly water fees from households to operate and maintain the constructed water system. It then takes several months of construction by volunteers, staff and community members to complete and can include several large scale components, such as dams and storage tanks in order to pipe clean water to individual homes. nnIn conjunction with our Water Program, Global Brigades also supports communities with healthcare, economic development and sanitation projects, and uniquely implements these programs in a holistic model to meet a community’s health and economic goals. Temple University is a chapter of Global Business Brigades, an international movement of university students and professionals building economic opportunities in the developing world. We work alongside promising entrepreneurs and experienced year-round staff to create financial opportunities in remote, rural, and under resourced areas of Honduras and Ghana. We work with communities to build community-owned banks to provide access to loans, savings accounts and financial literacy for community members. Professional Development Workshop Health Squads SQUADS ABROAD

Professional Development Workshop aims to improve health care access and sanitation infrastructure for children in under resourced communities abroad. Our Squad travels abroad to conduct mobile health clinics for children that include primary health care and vision and dental screenings. We also learn about and address some of the systemic issues behind preventable diseases in the community by implementing health workshops and building handwashing stations alongside local students. Each of our student volunteers has a donation goal to help cover logistical expenses while abroad such as transport, local staff, meals, insurance, accommodations, but most important, the year-round follow-up to our project by local staff to ensure the sustainability over time.
