Water Purification Projet in Tibet

We have formed a team at USC that is designing a simple, cost effective and easy to maintain water purification system for a single family home in rural Tibet.

Our design will be submitted to Tibetan Village Project, judged by a panel of independent engineers vs. 5 other schools and then merged with the other ideas to develop the best system possible. We will travel to Tibet over the summer of 2013 to install the final design.

TVP doesn't give the purifiers away. Local families invest in the filter to create a sense of ownership over the project.

Tibetan Village Project hopes to create a business around the final design. The business will be run by, and for, Tibetans!
