    Global Student Embassy’s mission is to empower young leaders to become environmental stewards, social innovators, and community leaders. In collaboration with international peers, students generate and implement powerful community-based solutions to shared ecological concerns.

    GSE envisions a world community connected by energetic young leaders who have the ability to think critically about local and international issues, and the skills to transform their ideas into positive community change. Las Lomas

In September 2013 student leaders from the environmental club approached GSE staff about starting a program to their school. In October 2013 we were able to construct six above ground garden beds at Las Lomas. Students have been working weekly to maintain and expand the garden. So far a few hundred pounds of food have been donated to the Contra Costa Food Bank.

Miramonte

In April 2014, GSE participated in a garden workday at Miramonte to prepare the garden for the summer. Starting in the fall, GSE will provide an after school garden program to engage Miramonte students in their school garden.
