• About Emory Surgery Medishare
Emory Surgery Medishare is a branch of the non-profit agency Project Medishare for Haiti, Inc.,which advances community health and development in one of the world’s most impoverished countries with a secondary focus on integrating medical education with humanitarian objectives.

In July 2008, Emory Medishare inaugurated an annual tradition by sending the first medical school-based surgical team to offer a week of free medical attention and surgeries to patients at L'Hôpital Sainte-Thérèse de Hinche in Haiti's Central Plateau, the poorest and most medically underserved region in all of Haiti. Our trip now lasts four weeks, including a week of teaching in the US, two weeks of surgeries, and a week of post-op clinic.
