About EduAmistad Ecuador
EduAmistad Ecuador began working at schools in and around the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador during Summer 2015, teaching health classes at a variety of public and private schools where no former health education programs existed. EduAmistad Ecuador is currently led by two students: a senior at CUNY Hunter College, Ariel Yardeni, and a junior at Harvard College, Nicolas O’Connor. We were inspired by our experiences teaching, and our interactions with the students, so we decided to form a group of ten students from both of our schools (five from each school) to accompany us and teach health and English classes.
