Cerro de Agua Nicaragua Water Project Materials Donation Fundraiser SQUADS ABROAD
Haven Tan is a student at Oaks Christian School who was a part of the Global Brigades Squads Abroad program for two years. In this program, she and her class worked to design a water system for villages in Honduras and Nicaragua. In the final meeting with the Cerro de Agua community in Nicaragua, she recognized that there was still a need to cover the funds to implement the water system that her class had designed. To help with this, she is starting a project where she will teach girls in communities near her how to work the CAD computer design system so that through their learning, they can laser print products to be sold to raise money for the Cerro de Agua village. Buying these products along with donating individually can aid Cerro de Agua's village in implementing a system that would bring them clean water and move them forward towards reaching Global Brigades' Holistic Model.
