Empowered.org was thoughtfully developed to tangibly empower you to take a decentralized approach to online fundraising, volunteer recruitment and marketing to accelerate your mission while maintaining oversight, brand and culture. Empowered has the unique ability to grow with you from a single group of volunteers in one location to a multi-national organization with hundreds of groups.
What enables this transformative approach is the site's ability to integrate an organization at every level (chapters, programs, volunteers, members, events, and fundraising), operating like a growing spider web.
Each participating organization is assigned a "Group Page" or an "Organization Page" depending on the need to have one or many chapters assigned to you. From an "Organization Page" you provide high-level information about your organization with the ability to customize the look and feel. From there, you can create "Programs Pages" that represent all your activities/initiatives that have chapters aligned to them. Each chapter is then created a "Group Page" where they can put on local volunteer activities, events, fundraising campaigns, and share their impact, while remaining connected to your umbrella organization. This allows for the exponential growth of new groups and the coordination of their existing and potential members. And that's where the rubber hits the road… the member level. Each member of your group(s) is automatically created their own "Member Page" where they can keep track of upcoming and past activities and powerfully generate customizable "fundraising pages" to rally support for your programs and activities.
On just ONE platform, your organization can manage peer-to-peer fundraising, volunteer activities, events, surveys, annual fundraising campaigns, alumni networks, donor relations, and empower each of your chapters or groups to do the same under your oversight! You don't have to be a multi-chaptered organization to take advantage of the site, but it's nice to have the option. This is why we call it the social movement platform. We are here to empower and support organizations that have a desire to effectively change the world by spreading their cause.

Empowered.org is a project of the Global Brigades Association, an international not-for-profit and the world’s largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization.
