Maricenia is a 34-year-old woman from Platanilla (in Darien) who lives with chronic, daily lumbago and head pain. Her doctor has assessed and determined that this condition is chronic and due to daily life and caring for her debilitated daughter. Maricenia has a young daughter who has cerebral paralysis and is a quadriplegic, so this causes Maricenia a lot of stress because she is the sole daily caretaker.

To reduce her stress and chronic pain, we are fundraising to increase the standard of living and home comfort. We are looking into the option of purchasing an air conditioner, a crib or a bed, stroller, or helping pay for transport to and from Panama city (because the daughter is receiving specialty care in the city).
