Health For All: "Opportunities and Challenges for creating a healthier world"

With over three billion individuals living below the poverty line, global health and access to basic medicine has become a worldwide challenge faced by many countries.

The course will be focused on global health measurements, conditions that are plaguing our developing countries, health interventions, and overall standard of care. The contents presented will prepare students to work with diverse populations, provide international service, and understand the nuances of global medical work and health as it affects individuals and population at large. This course will also allow participants to think critically about global health challenges and practices while exploring various core fields of global health such as epidemiology and nutrition.

This course addresses:

A complex analysis of communities lacking proper infrastructure and adequate services from the government and ministries
The ramifications of living without basic necessities, such as clean drinking water, medical care, and proper nutrition on a daily basis.
Increasing rates of preventable disease around the world and poor healthcare services.
New opportunities for effective and scalable global health interventions.
